ABOUT AGRATAS:

We’re a recently established global battery enterprise and a subsidiary of the Tata Group which owns Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Tata Motors. We’ll be pioneering the design, development, and manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) at our state-of-the-art gigafactory in the UK. Our gigafactory is expected to have a capacity of 40 GWh per year. Our vision is to become a world leader in sustainable battery solutions for mobility and energy storage. PROCESS ENGINEER

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. To be the primary subject matter expert for a specific manufacturing process area
  2. Develop the manufacturing process, including the design, control strategy and risk mitigation activity for key areas of the end-to-end production process
  3. Develop and maintain all process documentation; SWIs, PFMEAs, Control Plans and associated Quality Assurance requirements
  4. Lead the selection, implementation, commissioning and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment and capability
  5. Define implementation plans and associated actions to ensure compliance with targets for OEE, yield, cycle time and product quality throughout the industrialisation lifecycle
  6. Work closely with equipment vendors and technical partners to ensure the production process is delivered to target.
  7. Ongoing ownership of key process control points, using data and analysis to drive continuous improvement to product and process
  8. Close integration with R&D teams to inform technology roadmap and ensure ongoing alignment with manufacturing capability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing), or extensive experience of process driven manufacturing environments.
  2. Experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in a highly automated or controlled environment
  3. Experience of New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes and associated challenges or introducing new processes/plant.
  4. Good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental considerations for process design
  5. Experience of delivering new manufacturing capability throughout the maturation lifecycle
  6. Strong communication skills at all levels of an organisation
  7. Experience of data analysis & manufacturing problem solving skills
  8. Desirable – Experience working on a large scale high-hazard industrial facility.
