Job Opportunity: Process Engineer (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Are you a hands-on Process Engineer with a passion for automated manufacturing? We're seeking a dedicated professional to join our Newport team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This role offers the opportunity to modify existing products and introduce new ones into production. You will work directly with production machinery, implement practical changes, and lead pre-production trials to ensure seamless operations.

Collaborating closely with our Product Development Engineer based in Sweden, you will serve as the vital link between product design and manufacturing. With approximately 80% of your time on the shop floor, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, practical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Modify and optimize existing production equipment for new and updated product designs.
2. Program and operate automated machinery such as conveyors, cutters, and folding machines.
3. Tweak machine sequences and settings to achieve optimal performance.
4. Lead pre-production trials and support production rollouts.
5. Collaborate with the remote Product Development Engineer to ensure designs are production-ready.

Candidate Requirements:

• Solid experience in automated manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on skills with machinery for cutting, folding, gluing, or printing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize machine timing, speed, and sequences.
• Proactive mindset with a love for practical problem-solving.
• Confidence working in a dynamic, production-driven environment.

What We Offer:

Hourly Rate: £35.00 (Limited Company) or £28.00 (PAYE)
