Orion Electrotech Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a strong injection moulding background to lead process optimisation, validation and continuous improvement across a modern manufacturing operation.

You will work closely with Production, Quality, Tooling and Maintenance to drive improvements, troubleshoot technical issues and lead new product and process validation activities.

Formación

• 4 years' experience in injection moulding or process engineering.
• Hands-on setting and optimisation of moulding machines.
• Knowledge of process parameters, tooling and defects.

Responsabilidades

• Lead injection moulding process validation, proofing and production readiness activities.
• Conduct mould trials, process trials and machine optimisation projects.
• Troubleshoot moulding, quality and production issues using root cause analysis techniques.
• Optimise cycle times, reduce scrap and improve process stability.

• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs and work instructions.
• Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction and manufacturing efficiency projects.
• Support training and development of manufacturing personnel.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancement.
• Work collaboratively across Engineering, Production, Quality and Maintenance functions.

Are you an experienced Process Engineer with a strong injection moulding background looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

We're seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to lead process optimisation, tool trials, machine validation and continuous improvement initiatives across a modern manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in improving quality, efficiency and production performance while working with a range of injection moulding technologies and equipment.

The Role

As a Process Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting and improving injection moulding processes, ensuring products are manufactured consistently, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Production, Quality, Tooling, Maintenance and Engineering teams, you'll drive process improvements, troubleshoot technical issues and lead new product and process validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead injection moulding process validation, proofing and production readiness activities

About You

• 4 years' experience within injection moulding, process engineering or manufacturing engineering
• Strong hands-on experience of injection moulding machine setting, optimisation and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of injection moulding process parameters, tooling and moulding defects
• Experience working with machines such as Arburg, Demag, Engel, Haitian or similar
• Understanding of plastic materials, polymer processing and material behaviour
• Experience carrying out process investigations and root cause analysis
• Ability to develop process documentation and manufacturing instructions
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation

Desirable

• Experience within a quality-driven manufacturing environment
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
• Injection moulding or polymer processing certification
• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials or Polymer Engineering
