Process Engineer

About The Role

Due to continued success and growth, we are currently looking for a Process Engineer to assist within our Tube Foundry. As a process engineer, you will be primarily focused on optimisation and managing of our Tube Foundry processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that operations are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Safety: Develop and implement safety protocols to protect workers, the environment, and the public.
2. Process Optimisation: Analyse and improve processes to reduce costs and improve quality.
3. Process Improvements: Evaluate existing processes and lead process improvement projects to develop best practices within production.
4. Equipment Management: Test, maintain, and oversee the commissioning of equipment.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the Technical team and track progress of R&D trials.
6. Compliance: Ensure the factory complies with local and national regulations.
7. Training: Train operators and other engineers.
8. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve inefficiencies or quality issues.

You will need to possess critical and logical thinking skills and problem-solving skills as well as:

• Ability to work calmly in emergency and high-pressure situations.
• Ability to lead, manage, and persuade others to change work practices.
• In-depth understanding of process engineering software and systems.

You ideally will be educated to degree level or have a strong background within a Foundry environment.

Understanding of materials science and engineering.

Being able to apply statistical methods in data analysis.

Good communication skills – both written and verbal.

A strong understanding of health & safety, and quality standards.
