Zotefoams plc is a world leader in cellular material technology, headquartered in Croydon, UK, with additional manufacturing sites in Kentucky, USA and Brzeg, Poland, Oklahoma, USA (foam products manufacture and conversion)and Jiangsu Province, China (T-FIT).

We produce lightweight foams for various markets including sports and leisure, aviation, automotive and healthcare. Zotefoams also owns and licenses patented technology and sells advanced insulation systems

The Company is on a fast growth path, with strong revenue and profitability growth in recent years and ambitious growth plans for the near future.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team in Croydon. This role focuses on maximising profitability through reducing waste, supporting New Product Introductions (NPI), and driving continuous improvement in our production processes.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Identify and eliminate waste in production using lean tools, root cause analysis, and data trends.
  • Implement corrective actions and containment plans to maintain process adherence.
  • Support NPI scale-up from development to serial production, including process design and risk assessments.
  • Draft and maintain production work instructions to ensure safety and product quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime, scrap, and boost throughput.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture, conducting risk assessments with OHSE.

What you'll need:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of polymer processing (e.g. extrusion, injection moulding).
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g. Minitab, JMP) and MS Office. ERP knowledge is desirable.
  • Exposure to simulation software (e.g. MATLAB) is a bonus.
