Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in programming and designing control systems.

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training to production operators for process standardization.

Responsibilities:
  1. Analysis of downtime, rate and yield leading to development of improvement activities to reduce downtime and increase throughput.
  2. Interrogate historical data and provide trend analysis of production processes and failures.
  3. Development of Key Action Plans to make permanent corrective actions.
  4. Analysis of production issues using collected data and knowledge of the process to provide process solutions.
  5. Work with production teams to understand constraints on performance and where possible develop improvement actions to increase OEE.
  6. Provide training to production operators to improve understanding and standardisation of the process.
  7. Understand and deploy continuous improvement and problem solving techniques to optimise machine availability and productivity.
  8. Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques.
  9. Be in charge of day-to-day process control, process safety and the installation of new procedures and equipment.
  10. Standardise and improve current and future production processes.
  11. Optimise existing production equipment.
  12. Improve overall quality level.
  13. Upscale and transfer new products/processes into production.
  14. Be responsible for continuous improvement of process and procedures.
  15. Development of control system solutions.
  16. Technical Support.
  17. Field Support and commissioning of control systems.
  18. Control System design.
Qualifications/ Experience:
  1. Time Served Engineer.
  2. Five - seven years' experience involved in programming and designing processors and systems.
  3. Proven track record of continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  4. Experience in the automotive industry.
  5. Previous work experience in an organization that supplied large OEM's.
  6. HNC in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechatronics) (Minimum).
  7. PLC Programming of Mitsubishi (Q series), Alan Bradley and Siemens.
  8. HMI Programming: Beijer, Alan Bradley.
  9. Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Structured Query Language (SQL).
  10. Knowledge of Process Control Systems, Automation and Instrumentation.
  11. Data Analysis Familiarity with Statistical analysis and process optimisation tools (Six Sigma, Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC).
