Job description

Ready for your next opportunity? We're seeking a results-driven Process Engineer to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective product delivery. The role involves leading continuous improvement projects to enhance product, process, and plant performance. Additionally, you will support the development and documentation of Activated Carbon processes, driving operational excellence and delivering tangible business value.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop detailed knowledge of products, processes, and evaluation methods.
  2. Manage Activated Carbon processes, including Control plans, FMEA, and Statistical Process Control.
  3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives with the Technology Manager, ensuring follow-up and completion.
  4. Monitor key performance metrics to achieve OEE, fuel, and effluent targets.
  5. Define Off Quality management strategies.
  6. Support quality management systems, including process audits and handling customer complaints.
  7. Assist in the Management of Change (MOC) process to communicate impacts on product quality.
  8. Oversee CAPITAL projects, ensuring completion within scope and budget.
  9. Present results and conclusions to technical and management teams, producing accurate reports.
  10. Maintain awareness of HS&E and product safety regulations relevant to Activated Carbon manufacturing, ensuring safety compliance on-site.
Qualifications:
  1. Higher education in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  2. Proven experience in chemical processing, preferably continuous processes in the chemical industry.
  3. Experience applying quality and statistical tools for performance improvement.
  4. Knowledge of relevant legislation, environmental, H&S, and ATEX regulations.
  5. Experience with mass and energy balances, process optimization, fault finding, and root cause analysis.
  6. Knowledge of solids and liquids handling, process control systems, and P&ID drawings.
  7. Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and analytical tools.
  8. Effective project planning, management, and execution skills.
  9. Excellent communication, critical reasoning, and IT skills.
  10. Team-oriented with good relationship-building skills.
