Process Engineer - (Industrial Wastewater Treatment Projects)
We are looking to hire a permanent Process Engineer for our recently acquired industrial company, Aqua Operations.

About The Role
We seek an enthusiastic individual to support environmental consultancy projects involving commercial, industrial, municipal wastewater, and sludge processing. Responsibilities include headroom assessments, technology optioneering, feasibility and pilot studies, process design, commissioning, optimisation, CBA, RCA, troubleshooting, and providing process support for O&M contracts.
Who We Are Looking For
- A candidate with a relevant degree and interest in environmental improvement solutions.
- Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience.
- Ability to work in field, office, and lab settings, including sample collection and analysis, data interpretation, report development, and client presentations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills with a creative approach to complex effluent treatment issues.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and work away as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Full clean driver’s license.
- BSc or BEng in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of water/wastewater chemistry, microbiology, and engineering.
- Practical experience on industrial or water utility sites.
- Laboratory skills and report writing proficiency.
- Effective communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Understanding of UK environmental legislation and H&S requirements.
- Interest in environmental issues and previous customer-facing experience.
Preferable Skills and Experience
- Experience with UK water utilities or industry effluent treatment operations.
- Microscope proficiency, literature review, SOP development, laboratory method development.
- Basic site engineering knowledge.
- Presentation experience at conferences.
- Proficiency with CAD, CFD, or process modelling software (beneficial but not essential).
