Our client, an established aerospace & defence engineering firm, requires an experienced Process Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team.

Your role will involve undertaking Process, Governance and Assurance (PG&A) initiatives to enable the effective and efficient delivery of engineering products for the Platform Complex Systems group throughout the products’ lifecycle.

Responsibilities of the Process Engineer:

• Provide specialist knowledge and expertise in developing engineering processes. Identify needs, develop, communicate, and maintain processes supporting the entire engineering lifecycle.
• Understand and articulate the impact of processes on other business areas and the role of Governance within and beyond Engineering.
• Conduct independent Assurance activities to ensure design evidence is comprehensive, correctly documented, and endorsed by the appropriate authority.
• Support development of estimates for scope of work and resources to aid bids, proposals, and project planning from a Process, Governance, and Assurance perspective.
• Document domain knowledge of Process, Governance, and Assurance, and share expertise to grow the knowledge base within relevant teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance – UK Eyes Only Programme.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM field.
• Extensive experience in Process, Governance, and Assurance, preferably within the defence sector.
• Familiarity with the engineering lifecycle and direct experience in one or more phases of Systems Engineering, along with an understanding of broader engineering processes.
• Strong technical understanding of how your work contributes to the overall product, platform, or programme.
