A major sugar refining company is seeking a Process Engineer for their Thames Refinery in London. The role involves managing technical aspects of safety, environment, and quality, and includes opportunities for project management. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and relevant production experience. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential. What will you be doing?
This is an operational based role, you will be responsible for looking at the different factors that impact our refinery performance, resolving plant issues, optimising plant equipment, facilitating with operators and improving the overall technical and plant related aspects of our refinery.
Having a technical mindset to face challenges, troubleshoot and resolve should come naturally to you as well as an understanding of process flows and unit operations. As our Process Engineer you will work as part of a team of 4 and will have the opportunity to stand in for the Process Team Manager as and when required.
There is lots to be getting on with here and no 2 days are the same, from Quality incident and process investigations to energy optimisation and auditing. Once fully trained there will be the opportunity to get involve with various projects across the refinery.
