Qualifications

Process Engineer

Location: Ashby-De-La-Zouch Salary: Competitive
Hours of Work: Full-time (Monday-Friday)
Overview: Hardman Grey Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Process Engineer to join a leading global provider of high-performance materials used in the electronics industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to scaling up new innovations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The Process Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Leading the scale-up of new technologies from R&D to full production.
  • Working with epoxy, polyurethane compounds, and other liquid chemistries.
  • Collaborating with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless process transfer and robust production capability.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing existing manufacturing processes.
  • Sourcing, specifying, and supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Developing clear and effective operating procedures and supporting the training of production staff.
  • Supporting New Product Development with robust, repeatable, and safe manufacturing processes.

The ideal Process Engineer candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years experience as a Process Engineer
  • A degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience or understanding of manufacturing production process, Ideally in chemical blending/mixing or wet chemicals.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and implement improvements.
  • Understanding of FMEA processes and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Good knowledge of production equipment and writing SOPs or HMI instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to be involved on the shop floor.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
