JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Process Manager in the Aberdeen office, this post plays a critical role in delivering process optimisation services globally for both on and offshore applications. Responsibilities include delivering process engineering activities for third-party customers and internal NOV Process Systems offices.

You will support tendering and executing process design studies and system optimisation projects. The role is technology-focused, requiring experience at the component level, a good understanding of chemistry and fluid dynamics, and strong attention to detail and technical accuracy. Effective communication skills, both spoken and written, and the ability to work well within a team are essential.

The role involves communicating with clients at all levels, preparing technical and commercial tenders, and conducting onsite process engineering, troubleshooting, and optimisation projects. A commercial awareness of engineering decisions, a proactive approach, and a desire for continuous learning and development are key to success.

Key duties include supporting process design projects, participating in client meetings, presenting to industry professionals, performing simulation studies, developing process diagrams, sizing equipment, and preparing datasheets. Additional responsibilities involve evaluating proposals, supporting product line deployment, providing onsite support, and adhering to relevant standards such as NACE and NORSK. Occasional travel is expected.
