Job summary

Siemens Healthineers UK is seeking a Process Enable Engineering Manager Enable to lead a skilled engineering team within a complex manufacturing environment. You will translate business priorities into clear local goals and drive safe, high-quality production across safety, quality, productivity, delivery and capacity.

You will champion structured problem solving, harness data insights and collaborate with stakeholders to enable strong performance and future growth while embedding Siemens

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or related field.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Strong engineering judgement to assess proposals and mitigate risks.
  • Coaching others in applying engineering principles.
  • Experience in process monitoring and structured problem solving.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, lean methodologies or business improvement techniques.
  • Ability to motivate and develop a team towards business objectives.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers to deliver safe, high-quality production.
  • Translate business strategy into local priorities, goals and measurable deliverables.
  • Drive performance against KPIs: safety, quality, productivity, delivery and capacity.
  • Support safe manufacturing through risk assessments and compliant practices.
  • Drive quality standards aligned with international standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate responses to quality issues via structured problem solving.
  • Provide technical support for production and resolve incidents affecting capability.
  • Assess dependencies for new product introduction and capacity planning.
  • Use data insights to improve business performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across SCM.
  • Manage budgets including capital expenditure.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with clear communication.
  • Prepare professional reports on activities and challenges.
  • Deputise for Head of SCM Processes when required.
  • Support multi-site operations and transitions between facilities.

As Process Enable Engineering Manager Enable, you will lead a team responsible for enabling strong manufacturing performance across safety, quality, productivity, delivery and capacity. You will translate business priorities into clear team goals, build alignment across key stakeholders and help ensure that engineering activity supports both current production needs and future business growth.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting a safe manufacturing environment, developing robust processes, driving structured problem solving and championing continuous improvement. Working as part of the wider SCM leadership team, you will promote high standards, encourage collaboration and help embed effective methodologies, digital thinking and Siemens Healthineers values across the business.

This role will suit someone who enjoys combining strategic leadership with practical engineering problem solving. You will be comfortable setting direction, coaching others, managing priorities and making informed decisions using data, insight and sound engineering judgement.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading, supporting and developing a team of engineers, creating an environment where people can perform, grow and contribute.
  • Translating business strategy into clear local priorities, team goals and measurable deliverables.
  • Enabling performance against key KPIs, including safety, quality, productivity, delivery and capacity.
  • Supporting safe manufacturing through effective risk assessment, COSHH assessment, safe working practices and compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Driving quality standards that align with relevant international quality management standards and regulations.
  • Coordinating responses to internal and external quality issues through agreed reporting processes and structured problem solving.
  • Providing technical line support for production, including the analysis and resolution of incidents that affect production capability.
  • Assessing dependencies linked to new product introduction, factory capacity and engineering change management.
  • Using data analysis and insight to make informed decisions and identify opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Creating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the team and wider SCM community.
  • Overseeing departmental projects, monitoring progress, managing quality expectations and supporting effective delivery.
  • Developing, managing, monitoring and controlling relevant budgets, including capital expenditure.
  • Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through clear, open and regular communication.
  • Preparing professional reports on business and departmental activities, achievements and challenges.
  • Deputising for the Head of SCM Processes when required.
  • Supporting multi site operations, including volume production at current facility, and transition of drycool products to our new facility
What Skills And Experience You'll Bring

  • A degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Leadership experience in a comparable manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.
  • Strong engineering judgement, with the ability to assess technical proposals, challenge constructively and help mitigate project risks.
  • A solid understanding of engineering principles, with the ability to coach others in their application.
  • Experience of process monitoring, structured problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, lean methodology or business improvement techniques.
  • The ability to motivate, guide and develop a team against shared business objectives.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Confidence working with Microsoft Office applications, SAP, system networks and relevant software tools.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity requirements in a digital manufacturing or operational environment.
