Job summary

Greencore, Tower Hamlets, E3 3JG, is seeking a Process Development Manager to oversee PD activity from concept to launch. You will lead the PD team, manage feasible product concepts, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and financial targets.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and deep knowledge of food manufacturing principles, with a focus on delivering high-quality, commercially viable products on time.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high quality, sustainable, commercial products.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and prioritise own and others' focus.
• Understanding of food manufacturing principles demonstrated through feasibility of proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead PD activity with customers to meet critical path and feasibility plans.
• Input product knowledge and customer insight within category team to align with customer requirements.
• Test and refine new product concepts to ensure feasibility and commercial targets.
• Lead feasibility meetings and keep site teams informed with actions and progress.
• Oversee PD team through implementation, track progress and resolve scale-up issues for timely launches.
• Maintain product quality and ensure margin targets align with the brief.
• Build and maintain customer relationships as the dedicated contact within the category.
• Manage stakeholders to promote collaboration and deliver the NPD agenda.
• Coach the team to maximise performance and development potential.

Job responsibilities

customer and category PD activity to meet the critical path and feasibility plans and ensure successful right first-time launches Input product knowledge and customer insight within category team to ensure product development is aligned with all key customer requirements and meets financial measurements Introduce, refine and robustly test the design of new product concepts throughout creative and implementation stage to ensure the feasibility, sustainability and ability to meet commercial targets Lead feasibility meetings/internal reviews ensuring that site teams are kept informed of all activity updates and follow up actions are completed Lead the PD team throughout the implementation phase, tracking progress and resolving issues identified within scale up trials, to achieve timely implementation and hit targeted launch dates Custodian of product quality, ensuring accurate margin target delivery against the commercial brief Build and maintain customer relationships, acting as the dedicated customer/category contact, to provide accurate and consistent communication internally and externally whilst identifying and resolving issues promptly Stakeholder management of operational peers to promote collaborative ways of working and delivery of the NPD agenda Develop the team capability through task focused coaching to ensure maximum performance and development to their potential

What we're looking for
