Reporting to the NPD & Technical Manager, you’ll lead the technical scale-up of products from lab to production, ensuring efficient, sustainable, and high-quality manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead scale-up projects from laboratory development to full factory production
Translate lab methods into Method of Manufacture (MOM) documents in partnership with chemists
Conduct factory blending and filling trials, supporting first production runs
Troubleshoot and optimise scale-up challenges across cross-functional teams
Recommend and validate new equipment, pilot rigs, and accessories
Drive process improvement to reduce energy usage, waste, and batch times
Support environmental and cost-saving initiatives aligned with DCS Group’s sustainability goals
Participate in stage-gate processes and feasibility assessments for new products
Deliver internal training on best practices and new processing techniques
We’re looking for a technically skilled problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will have:
ONC/HNC or Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or other STEM field
Hands-on experience in process scale-up (cosmetics or personal care preferred)
Understanding of mixing, blending and filling equipment
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and HSE requirements
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
