Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Process Development Engineer, Staff reporting to the Manager of Engineering to join our talented team in Warwick, UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop medical textile-based structures to meet customer needs, guiding products through development, validation, and into production.
  • Lead development programs, working with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, operations, and quality personnel.
  • Manage process development, characterization, optimization, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and transfer to manufacturing.
  • Work hands-on at the shop floor, developing processes and training materials.
  • Design and execute engineering studies such as DOE and COV, and report results.
  • Develop and review procedures, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Assess product and process risks, and support quality deliverables like pFMEAs with technical input.
  • Communicate with customers to understand requirements and provide strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and consultants.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical, Textile, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Hands-on technical leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for innovation and proven problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience in medical, textile, aerospace, or automotive industries.
  • Knowledge of textile processes like braiding, knitting, weaving, non-wovens.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Minitab.
