Company & Position Summary

We're partnered with a leading global manufacturer of medical devices and pharmaceutical systems. At their facility in Cornwall, they specialize in producing seals and gaskets for metered dose inhalers, playing a critical role in delivering life-saving therapies. They are seeking a Senior Process Development Engineer to lead on process development, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring cost-effective, high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategy for the Process Engineering function in alignment with overall site goals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational excellence
  • Manage the introduction of new products and customer product transfers in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Oversee budgetary control, resource allocation, and performance within the department.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 years of industry experience in biotech/pharma/medical device
  • University degree in a relevant discipline; Six Sigma Green Belt and ILM Level 5 (or equivalent) required
  • Demonstrated experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
  • Familiarity with validation processes, SAP systems, and change control procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.
