Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Design Engineer to join our Water team in Exeter or Croydon. You will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing water treatment processes to develop sustainable water management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop water treatment processes, systems, and technologies based on project requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with teams to assess new water treatment technologies, considering cost, efficiency, and environmental impact.
  • Perform process simulations and modeling to optimize processes and predict performance.
  • Conduct laboratory and pilot studies to evaluate treatment methods and troubleshoot issues.
  • Monitor and analyze water treatment plant data, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Develop SOPs and guidelines ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Science or engineering qualifications.
  • Chartered with ICE or CIWEM.
  • Understanding of water companies, flood authorities, and Environment Agency responsibilities.
  • Experience with surface water drainage and wastewater modeling, preferably using Infoworks ICM and 2D.
  • Experience in planning and implementing SUDS.
  • Previous engineering experience and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills in hydraulic modeling and drainage design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
