Main Purpose of Role

We have a requirement for a Water & Wastewater Process Engineer to complete and manage the Process design of water and wastewater engineering solutions and proposals for our Clients in Northern Ireland, ROI, and the UK.

Role Duties
  • Working as part of a multiple disciplinary Process Engineering team in all areas of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, treatment process options and performance evaluation, predominantly for N. Irl water and UK Water Authorities.
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed design documents, engineering specifications and perform calculations in support of water & wastewater process engineering activities in adherence with Client Asset Standards and specifications.
  • Completing optioneering reports, pre and post project completion documentation in accordance with company standard.
  • Evaluate and assess hydraulic designs in conjunction with knowledge and experience of Water & Wastewater Treatment Processes.
  • Co-ordination within a team of Project Engineers of varying experience levels to ensure tender delivery and project process treatment design.
  • Maintain daily communications with other engineering departments including civil, electrical, mechanical engineering drawing, controls and automation to ensure the development and provision of turnkey water/wastewater treatment solutions.
  • Review supplier information to assure compliance with Project requirements and Client Asset Standards
  • To ensure compliance with all company Safety, Environmental and Quality systems including leading the statutory Principal Designer role where required.
  • Support business development activities by demonstrating quality assurance and competence of the water/wastewater process design team
  • Develop and maintain communications with key decision makers within the Company client base for the process of identifying engineering opportunities for company development

  • Ensure compliance with the Company policies and procedures

  • Participate and engage fully in company appraisal/performance review processes and constantly work to improve your individual and the wider group’s performance.

Note: In addition to these functions’ personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the Group/Company/ Operational Unit

Qualifications & Skills
  • A experienced engineer in either environmental, chemical or process engineering or equivalent with 5 -10 years’ experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment
  • Strong Data Analysis and Technical problem-solving capabilities
  • A self - motivated individual with the ability to manage workload to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives
  • Capable of assessing complex engineering problems with the ability to utilise proprietary software packages to deliver the basis for engineering solutions
  • Capacity to connect and develop relationships with equivalent team leaders and Operational Management within the company and contribute to strategy development and business planning
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
