The Process Coordinator Utilities & Service identifies, initiates and coordinates all necessary action required for business continuity. Overcoming engineering, personnel or equipment issues which block or constrain the achievement of shift team objectives within the ETA and Utilities and Services (U&S).
The role holder ensures that on a shift-by-shift basis customer expectations are met and communication, resolution or escalation of Safety, Environmental, Service and other performance issues is timely and effective.
The role holder seeks to continuously improve process and team performance and coaches team members to improve HSE performance, reduce costs and improve productivity.
Co-ordinates U&S operations on Site 4 ETA processes for:
Contaminated and non-contaminated effluent treatment
Key roles & responsibilities
Ensures the plant meets production and capacity schedules measured against key performance indicators
Responsible for directing operational personnel in their activity during the shift and optimising the shift team’s capability by facilitating cross skilling between operational and engineering personnel where the U&S Manager has identified this as appropriate
Lead and co-ordinate ETA shift Health, Safety and Environmental performance, introducing new ideas to develop CSL Seqirus safety standards
Responsible for ensuring the defined processes in U&S are performed efficiently and consistently meet HSE, customer and productivity requirements.
The role holder is responsible for identifying, responding to and rectifying engineering issues in the U&S areas on the shift
Conduct shift handovers, identifying any safety, maintenance, personnel and environmental issues as well as quality and production requirements.
Plan and organise work for the shift as well as allocating work activities and priorities
Prepare and issue work permits for the ETA
Is responsible for ensuring adequate resources and materials are available to support process requirements
Responsible for preventing and controlling any potential environmental impact on their shift and impact on the local community
Provide first line emergency response to any incident on Sites 4 and 6 outside normal hours as required by the Site Emergency Plan.
Support the ETA Manager in the daily running of the team and:
Plan the shift to deliver objectives i.e. resource planning, holiday cover, minimum manning levels maintained, reactive unplanned absence cover
Deputise for the ETA Manager if required
Regularly lead team meetings, allocate work and give feedback on performance
Enables and supports the development of team members, contributing to the upkeep of the LMS system for team members
Assists in team development planning
Minimum requirements
Experience of Utilities Plant Engineering and/or Bulk Chemical/High Hazard Operations.
Experience of supervising Operations within a Bulk Chemical/High Hazard Environment.
Up to date with current Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and ideally has an HSE qualification (e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH).
Proven ability to motivate, lead and coach Operational and Engineering associates to high levels of productivity and performance.
Working knowledge of Materials management principles.
A broad understanding of the engineering principles and chemistry in a manufacturing and operational environment.
Experience in managing and implementing change
Experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing operation
Can demonstrate HSE leadership
Excellent Planning and organising skill
IT skills
Broad experience in Chemical Processing
Experience in developing and training people
Ability to work under pressure and track record of delivering results
Ability to present information and communicate at all levels in the organisation
