ODIN RECRUITMENT GROUP LIMITED is seeking an Area Sales Engineer for the process cooling sector in the UK. The role focuses on developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and driving sales growth across Southern England.

The ideal candidate will have technical sales experience in process cooling or related engineering sectors, a proactive business development approach, and the ability to work independently with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales within process cooling, HVAC, mechanical engineering, industrial equipment, or a related sector.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify customer needs and deliver value-based solutions.
• Good technical understanding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-motivation with the ability to manage a sales territory independently.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve business growth.
• Generate new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
• Manage company-generated enquiries from initial contact through to order placement.
• Conduct customer meetings and technical discussions.
• Carry out site surveys and assess customer requirements.
• Design appropriate process cooling solutions.
• Prepare system layouts and technical drawings where required.
• Produce detailed quotations including system design, commercial proposals, ROI calculations, and contract documentation.
• Present proposals to customers and negotiate orders.
• Manage projects through to successful handover.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers throughout the equipment lifecycle.
• Work collaboratively with the internal engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
