? About the Role:

As a PLC Controls Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the site’s Manufacturing Control Systems, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient 24/7 production. You'll be a critical part of the engineering team, maintaining, repairing, and developing systems that keep the plant running.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on maintenance and repair of manufacturing control systems
• Real-time troubleshooting and technical support for production teams
• Support call-outs and respond to breakdowns
• Enhance and modify systems for improved performance
• Collaborate with Technical Services and contractors on upgrades and installations
• Contribute to small-scale design and development projects
• Oversee contractor activity on site
• Ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong background in control systems within manufacturing or production
• Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens NX
• Skilled in SCADA systems, and understanding of LAN/WAN networking
• Capable of responding to technical issues in a 24/7 setting
• Clear communicator with a team-oriented mindset
• Committed to continuous improvement and professional growth

Qualifications:

• Recognised qualification in Electrical, Controls, or Automation Engineering
• Additional certifications in PLC, SCADA, or systems integration (desirable)
• Experience in high-volume or fast-paced environments is a plus
