Job summary

A leading company in metal and glass packaging solutions seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the effective operation of manufacturing control systems. This role offers opportunities for technical development and leadership training, in addition to a supportive work environment that values employee progression and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Very good understanding of systems covered in Plant Engineering.
  • Experience with small project design, development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of LAN & WAN network systems.
  • Experience in assisting and liaising with contractors.

This role has the opportunity for leadership development, including internal training and externally accredited programmes to support your performance and career progression.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of all control systems on Plant
  • Provide hands-on maintenance and repair, technical support to team and plant
  • Assist in the modification and improvement of control systems
  • Assist with breakdowns either in person or by telephone (including call outs)
  • Liaise with Tech Services and contractors in the implementation of upgrades and new control systems

Required skills / qualifications:

  • A very good understanding of systems covered in Plant Engineering
  • Experience with small project design, development and implementation
  • Knowledge of LAN & WAN network systems
  • Experience in assisting and liaising with contractors
