Lead Process Engineer - Naphtha Reforming – Permanent Expat Tax Free

We are recruiting expatriates in the Middle East for a role with a global operator.

All roles are permanent, offering single/marital status options, tax-free salaries, accommodation, flights, schooling allowance, and transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the development, review, and enhancement of process designs for naphtha reforming units.
  2. Optimize catalyst usage and reforming processes to improve performance, yield, and product quality.
  3. Provide hands-on technical support to operating sites, including diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
  4. Collaborate with licensors and vendors to assess and integrate new technologies.
  5. Perform process simulations to identify operational improvements and efficiency opportunities.
  6. Prepare and deliver technical reports, papers, and presentations on reforming advancements.
  7. Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering knowledge transfer and skills development.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Degree in Chemical Engineering; advanced qualifications are a plus.
  2. Minimum 20 years of experience in refinery or petrochemical operations, with emphasis on reforming technologies.
  3. At least 5 years of direct experience with Continuous Catalytic Reforming (CCR) systems.
  4. Exposure to multiple operating environments and leading process licensors (e.g., UOP, Axens).
  5. Proven innovation record, including contributions to intellectual property or patents in reforming.
  6. Skilled in process modeling software (e.g., HYSYS).
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in troubleshooting reforming operations.
