Job Role: Process Commissioning Engineer
Location: Southern Water
Salary: £450-500 / day (Inside IR35)

About the role: Our client in the water sector is actively seeking an experienced Process Commissioning Engineer for an immediate opening. The successful candidate will be based on-site on the Southern Water framework, working closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineers to deliver the process commissioning of various schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with the site team to define and agree on methodologies for site activities.
2. Leading the commissioning process for clean & wastewater treatment plants to ensure project success.
3. Liaising with Operations teams to raise and manage Process Risk Assessments.
4. Undertaking software testing alongside the automation engineer to ensure system performance.
5. Developing training materials and conducting training sessions for staff and operators.
6. Providing regular project updates through weekly progress reports.
7. Attending and contributing to progress and commissioning meetings to ensure the project stays on track.
8. Preparing all required documentation for the project Takeover phase.
9. Supporting other team members where time permits.

About you:

1. Proven experience in water / wastewater process commissioning.
2. Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil aspects of wastewater schemes.
3. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead commissioning meetings.
4. Experience in process risk assessments and producing detailed documentation.
5. Competence in software testing alongside automation engineers.
6. Ability to develop and deliver training programs effectively.
