A leading technology recruitment firm is seeking a Software Quality Assurance engineer for their Bristol-based team. This role focuses on maintaining quality standards in a process-driven environment while working with software development teams. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, strong auditing skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across projects. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, typically requiring 2 to 4 days per week on-site.

We have an exciting opening within our Bristol-based Software Quality Assurance team for an engineer eager to develop their process-driven quality assurance skills while contributing to a wider Quality Assurance community.
You'll work on a diverse range of software programmes, supporting project activities alongside software development teams. Your role will be key in ensuring advanced systems meet the highest quality standards and are delivered to trusted partners worldwide - a vital mission in today's rapidly changing global landscape. What We're Looking For -
In this role, you'll focus on software quality assurance through strict adherence to processes and standards. We're seeking someone who can:
Apply knowledge of software development, full lifecycle processes, and quality assurance in a process-led design and development environment.
Understand software processes, including relevant national and international standards and assurance requirements.
Use auditing skills to assess compliance and identify improvements (auditing experience is advantageous).
Build strong, collaborative relationships across all programmes while maintaining objectivity and influencing change where needed.
Lead Project Quality Assessments, highlight risks and critical issues, and contribute to monthly reporting.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and remain calm under pressure when priorities shift.
Work independently as well as in functional and integrated teams.
Hold an Engineering degree or equivalent experience, with an understanding of new and emerging technologies.
Possess knowledge of configuration management, documentation control, and requirements management systems (highly beneficial).
Location: Bristol or Hertfordshire (relocation package may be available, case by case consideration)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid - typically 2 to 4 days per week on-site, based on workload requirements.
