In this role, you will support practitioners by completing referrals to a range of partnership agencies, helping to ensure that individuals under probation supervision can access the right services at the right time.

You will review and scrutinise information in OASys and NDelius, liaise closely with practitioners, and build effective relationships with partner agencies. A key part of the role will be developing a strong understanding of the services available across the South East and Eastern Region, and using this knowledge to make accurate, timely referrals that contribute to positive outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the probation service's work with individuals, strengthening links with local services, and helping to deliver safe and effective rehabilitative interventions. Helping to keep the public safe. Giving people the chance to turn their lives around. Building a rewarding professional career.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Undertake the full range of offender management tasks with people on probation assessed as low or medium risk of harm and support the Probation Officer grade in high risk cases.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Risk Management plan and report significant changes relating to risk of harm and/or of reoffending or any non-compliance within agreed enforcement procedures.
  • Use computer-based systems to produce, update and maintain records and other documentation within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure effective referrals to services and facilities and communicate with offender management staff, interventions staff, service providers and external agencies to review progress and associated risks.

Requirements:

  • Empathetic, patient and resilient with good writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Experience of helping and/or supporting people who have experienced a range of social and/or personal difficulties.

We offer a range of benefits, including annual leave, pension, training and development opportunities, and flexible working arrangements.

As a Disability Confident employer, we are committed to providing everyone with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, talent and abilities, by making adjustments throughout all elements of the recruitment process and in the workplace.
