Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Chorley is seeking confident, reliable Supply Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Chorley. This role involves supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students stay engaged with pre-planned activities, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and behaviour management skills, the ability to build relationships with students and staff, and the confidence to lead classes

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to calmly manage groups of students.
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and ensure students complete work as directed
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
• Maintain a safe, organised, and positive learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Record attendance and report concerns or incidents
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes
• Support wider school duties and administrative tasks when required
