Location: We are looking for a Proactive Network Specialist to join the Customer Field Services department within the Wastewater Service Delivery Business Unit at Yorkshire Water to help us to deliver a better and more efficient service for our customers. Could this be you? The role will cover the Yorkshire region and is a flexible hybrid working arrangement, however, there will be an expectation that time will be spent working from the operational sites from where your team(s) operate.
Work type: This is a permanent opportunity. The role will be expected to cover working rotational work patterns working a 37- hour week. As part of the role, once trained you may be required to be on a standby rota.

The Proactive Network Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that the business delivers its upper quartile performance. To ensure our regulatory performance commitments are achieved, we require a thorough review and audit of follow on work raised from the SMP. End to end management of the jobs from release through to completion via service partners.
You will support a centre of excellence for sewer flooding; responsible for supporting the implementation of the company’s sewer flooding strategy, as well as tactical interventions to ensure industry leading performance across key ODI’s. By understanding themes of the root causes of failure, they will ensure that the business makes the right interventions and have the right controls in place to improve performance and prevent both first time and repeat incidents.
Where you fit in:
As our Proactive Network Specialist your role will be responsible for identifying training, coaching needs, and supporting our Proactive Escapes Technician and the Proactive Escapes Jetting Technician and service partners and their suppliers, to improve the competence of the workforce, through identified themes from work review. Therefore, resulting in the ability to provide accurate information that supports our regulatory position and improve our adherence to process. In addition, you will work pro-actively to reduce both first-time and repeat asset failures that cause sewer flooding, and you will monitor the progression of investigations and repair work through the process to avoid repeat occurrences, whilst ensuring corporate risk records are created and updated.

If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the security vetting process for either a Counter Terrorist Check or Security Check clearance.
