Are you a seasoned investigator with experience in making risk-based recommendations? Do you have a proven track record in investigation, intelligence, audit, or professional regulation? We are seeking dedicated Proactive Investigation Officers to join our newly established team. This hybrid role involves travel for onsite investigations.
In this role, you will identify, investigate, and secure evidence of regulatory breaches and other applicable legislation. You will develop and implement plans for proactive investigation, considering risk indicators to develop proposals for targeted proactive reviews. You will produce fair, accurate, and evidence-based reports to the highest standards of quality, make and articulate investigative decisions succinctly and clearly, and obtain evidence from various sources during site visits. You will conduct interviews and obtain witness statements with solicitors, employees, and third parties in an authoritative and competent manner.
You will manage and report on progress and key outcomes, represent the SRA at the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and/or Courts, and explain changes within the regulated legal sector to solicitors and employees. You will collaborate across functions, compile and cross-reference complex investigation files, and liaise with other regulators, law enforcement, and external agencies.
