Overview

Our Engineering team is growing! We’re seeking a skilled engineer to join our team in Ipswich at our Waterfront office. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting detailed repair assessments, approving repair estimates, and coordinating with field engineering companies, customers, and clients to manage various claims efficiently. This is a full-time position, working 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. We offer a competitive salary, as well as the opportunity to pursue your engineering qualifications, fully-funded by Gallagher Bassett.

How you'll make an impact

The role involves assessing vehicle repairs, mentoring engineers, and managing communications with clients and field engineers. Responsibilities include approving repair estimates and invoices, updating drivers and policyholders, and handling administrative tasks.

Day-to-day tasks will include:
  • Assess vehicle repairs and approve estimates and invoices
  • Communicate with clients, field engineers, and policyholders
  • Manage administrative tasks like phone enquiries and vehicle salvage
About You

You have experience working in bodywork or mechanical engineering. You’re skilled in assessing safe repair methods for damaged vehicles. You’ll have an understanding of modern vehicle repair methods. You’re able to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of motor claims handling practices is advantageous. You’re proficient in IT and MS Office.
