£33,261 - £36,508 (36 hours per week)

Did you know that Perth & Kinross Council runs its very own lettings agency for the private rented sector? In fact, the Council has one of the most advanced private rented sector teams in the country, with nationally recognised initiatives that make a real difference.

The team leads a range of innovative programmes, including the Rent Bond Guarantee Scheme, PKC Lets, and the Empty Homes Initiative-all designed to support both landlords and tenants.

This is a unique and rewarding role in housing, offering the chance to help bridge the gap between social housing and the private rental market. You'll get hands-on experience in all aspects of property letting and management-from marketing and viewings to inspections, maintenance, compliance, and rent management.

Skills & Experience Required

Are you passionate about housing and making a positive impact in your community?
We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of housing-ideally with a keen interest in the Private Rented Sector-who's enthusiastic about helping others and improving standards.

In this role, you'll enjoy working closely with private landlords and letting agents, promoting good property management practices and supporting them in meeting the repairing standard. You'll also collaborate with our Landlord Registration team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We're seeking someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and outstanding customer service. Strong planning and organisational skills, a practical mindset, and great attention to detail are key to success in this role.

You'll also need supervisory experience, as you'll help manage contractors, and be confident using computer systems, especially Microsoft applications like Excel.

A housing qualification, relating to letting and managing residential property or prior experience in private rented sector role would be advantageous.

You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
