Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council seeks two experienced officers for the Private Sector Housing Team in Bridlington and Goole. Qualifications

• Experience with Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) to identify property conditions and risks.
• Working knowledge of legislation covering private sector tenancies (Renters Rights Act).
• Experience in regulatory enforcement activity, including serving notices, enforcement action, emergency remedial action and prosecutions.

Responsibilities

• Use enforcement powers and tools and provide regulatory advice to local businesses.
• Serve notices and take enforcement action as required, including emergency remedial actions and prosecutions.
• Ensure that works meet required standards within agreed timescales, in Bridlington and Goole.
