An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a prestigious private school in Kingston upon Thames. This is a full-time, fixed-term position covering the period from April to July 2025. The school seeks a talented Chemistry Teacher to join their highly successful Science department and contribute to a stimulating learning environment. This Chemistry Teacher will play a vital role during this period.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual with a passion for Chemistry and a commitment to providing high-quality education. The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent). Consider adding: "Or have significant experience teaching Chemistry in an independent school setting," as private schools sometimes have more flexibility on QTS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Chemistry lessons across the relevant Key Stages.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with high potential.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum review.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
