Job summary

A financial services company in London is seeking an Investment Research Specialist. Job description

Role Requirements:

  • Generate new investment ideas and produce materials to present to clients and prospects.
  • Conduct due diligence meetings with managers to set fund ratings and oversee ongoing monitoring.
  • Participate in investment committee meetings, debates, and provide regular updates on investment views.
  • Attend client meetings as a research specialist.
  • Oversee junior team members to assist in delivering research projects.
  • Deliver training to colleagues on relevant topics.
  • Potential to expand into a portfolio analyst role covering fund of fund products.

Experience and Competencies Required:

  • Working towards CFA or similar exams, or qualified.
  • 4-7 years of experience in financial services, particularly in Private Equity manager research and understanding of asset management industry and markets.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, including strong presentation abilities.
  • Preferred experience in day-to-day portfolio management of a Fund of Funds private markets portfolio, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection.
  • Preferred experience in daily portfolio management duties such as risk monitoring, exposure analysis, performance attribution, and reporting.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external teams across functions like Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Data Providers, Distribution, Fund Managers, and Technology.
