We are seeking a Direct Private Equity Operations & Valuation Specialist to join our Private Markets Financial Operations. This is a high impact role that bridges investment controlling and investment teams, with a focus on direct private equity investments.

The successful candidate will take ownership of key operational processes including portfolio company reporting, valuation analysis, cash flow monitoring, and performance tracking. You will also play a critical role in enhancing our direct operations platform, leveraging your experience to drive process improvements, implement scalable reporting solutions, and ensure data quality across the portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, analytical professional to contribute to a growing global investment platform and work closely with investment, operations and technology teams.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and maintain recurring reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders (investment teams, management, auditors, and limited partners);

Review and monitor key portfolio company metrics, including financial performance and operational KPIs;

Implement automated and standardized data collection and reporting workflows across the direct PE portfolio;

Oversee periodic reconciliations of NAV, performance metrics, and financial data to ensure consistency across internal systems and third-party reports;

Prepare investor reports, performance summaries and board materials;

Support short term liquidity management and long term cash flow forecasting and modeling;

Lead the onboarding of new direct investments into the CRM and internal systems, ensuring accurate setup and data consistency across all platforms.

Valuation Support & Oversight

Support quarterly and annual valuation processes for direct PE investments in collaboration with investment teams and third-party valuation providers;

Review and enhance valuation models in line with fair value guidelines and internal valuation policies;

Analyze valuation inputs, comps and market dynamics to validate key assumptions and ensure consistency;

Act as a key liaison during audits and valuation reviews.

Platform Development & Strategic Input

Contribute insights and best practices from prior roles to enhance scalability and efficiency the direct operations platform, focusing on reporting, data quality, and valuation workflows;

Work together with technology and investment teams to implement tools and technologies to optimize operational processes;

Establish effective communication channels to maintain alignment on reporting expectations and valuation assumptions;

Share best practices and mentor junior colleagues to promote a culture of excellence and learning.

Process Management and Stakeholder Coordination

Document, refine, and streamline operational and valuation processes, including the collection and validation of financial data from portfolio companies, to reduce the operational load on the investment team and ensure timely, accurate delivery;

Coordinate with fund administrators, tax advisors, and other external service providers to support operational execution and ensure accurate flow of information.

Act as a key point of contact for addressing investor-related operational queries, facilitating timely and accurate responses.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

4–7 years of relevant experience in private equity operations, portfolio reporting, or valuation roles;

Solid understanding of private equity structures and valuation methodologies (DCF, market comps, precedent transactions);

Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills; experience with reporting or analytics tools (i.e Power BI) and systems such as Anaplan or Snowflake is a plus;

Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
