As a Private Markets Analyst within the Private Markets Investment team, you will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of London CIV's private markets investment offering.

Working closely with portfolio managers and reporting to senior members of the team, you will contribute to the monitoring, execution, and development of our private markets strategies on behalf of our Partner Funds.

Given the compact nature of the team, flexibility, a proactive approach, and a strong commitment to collaboration are essential.

You will support a wide range of activities across investment analysis, risk management, fund and manager monitoring, product development, and client reporting across all sectors within private markets.

What You'll Be Doing

Support portfolio managers in the monitoring of funds and portfolios across private markets. Attend meetings with external investment managers, contribute to manager assessments and write-ups, and support the preparation of quarterly investor reports for Partner Funds.

Valuations & Investment Reporting

Assist with the quarterly investment valuation process, working closely with internal teams such as Fund Accounting to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of valuation data.

Support the team in facilitating the transition of off-pool private markets funds and contribute to the development of a platform aligned with government consultation on "Fit For Future".

Investment Process & Product Development

Support product and fund design, due diligence activities, investment transactions, and fund modification projects across private markets.

Investment Committee Materials

Assist in the preparation of investment committee memoranda, supporting documents and presentation materials, ensuring clarity and quality of content.

Help respond to Partner Fund queries and contribute to the development of client-facing materials including PowerPoint presentations and pitch books.

Reporting & Data Management

Help develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using London CIV's private markets portfolio management system. Provide clear and accurate summaries of performance, risk metrics and fund characteristics for use by internal committees and boards.

Systems & Process Support

Build working knowledge of systems and processes used by the Private Markets and Responsible Investment teams. Contribute to cross functional collaboration and provide support cover where needed.

Policy & Process Development

Support the development and refinement of investment policies, procedures and operational processes to ensure they remain robust and f it for purpose.

Operational Collaboration

Work with Fund Accounting and Operations teams to ensure data accuracy and help resolve day-to-day issues related to private markets investment activities. Market & Manager Research Research market trends and investment managers across private markets to support idea generation, manager due diligence, and strategy development.

What You'll Bring

Relevant degree (Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline).

Demonstrable experience, ideally within the investment industry.

Genuine interest in developing a career within private markets.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong organisational and workflow management skills; ability to work independently.

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Commitment to pursuing a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA or CAIA).

Experience conducting due diligence on private markets investment managers.

Familiarity with risk management systems and portfolio monitoring tools.

Experience preparing reports for committees and supporting client presentations.

Experience reviewing and negotiating investment-related legal agreements.
