Job summary

IDEX Consulting is recruiting for a top-tier law firm to appoint a 1-4 PQE Associate into its Transactional Tax team in Greater London. The role focuses on advising on tax aspects of private M&A for sponsors, corporates, and management teams, with cross-border opportunities and exposure to financing, real estate, and capital markets work.

An outstanding academic record and England & Wales qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting and negotiating transaction terms and documents.
• Transactional tax experience, ideally in private equity/M&A.
• England & Wales qualified with 1–4 PQE, preferably from a City firm.

Responsibilities

• Advise on tax aspects of private M&A from sponsors, shareholders and finance providers.
• Provide broader tax advisory work for corporate clients.
• Engage in cross-border tax matters and exposures to financing transactions and real estate deals.
• Assist on IPOs, fundraisings and capital markets transactions where relevant.
