The Job: Portfolio Analytics Manager

The Client: Leading alternative investment Manager

The Location: London

The Opportunity:

A multi-billion-dollar Private Equity firm is looking for a Portfolio Analytics Manager.

This is a newly created, business-critical role that is heavily front-facing, and the incumbent will be an active business partner to the investment team. The successful candidate will lead the portfolio function, helping to shape the infrastructure and processes that support performance analytics, valuation oversight, and operational excellence across the private equity portfolio.

The Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain recurring reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders (investment teams, management, auditors, and limited partners.
• Review and monitor key portfolio company metrics, implement automated and standardized data collection and reporting workflows across the direct PE portfolio.

Valuation Support & Oversight

• Review and enhance valuation models in line with fair value guidelines and internal valuation policies.
• Work together with technology and investment teams to implement tools and technologies to optimise operational processes.
• Support quarterly and annual valuation processes for direct PE investments in collaboration with investment teams and third-party valuation providers.

The Role:

• Strong academic track record
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) preferred
• Approximately 6+ years’ experience in a relevant role, ideally within private equity or a portfolio or valuation-focused environment
• Deep understanding of private equity fund structures, valuation methodologies, and portfolio analytics
• Strong systems exposure (with experience using analytical/data visualisation tools) and a process improvement mindset
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
