Job Description:

We’re working with a standout international law firm to recruit an ambitious Private Equity Associate (6+ PQE) to join its highly rated corporate team in London. This is a key growth hire within the firm’s award-winning PE practice – a team trusted by leading private equity houses and financial institutions to handle some of the most complex, cross-border transactions on the market.

This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of your career in a firm that prioritises progression, collaboration, and recognition. You’ll be part of an inclusive and entrepreneurial environment where your voice is heard, your development is supported, and your performance – not your PQE – defines how far you can go.

The Role

You’ll play a central role on a variety of UK and international private equity deals, working closely with partners who are recognised leaders in the field. Expect early responsibility on transactions, direct client engagement, and the opportunity to lead on deal execution with support from an established bench of specialists across banking, tax, regulatory, IP, and competition.

You’ll also contribute to the team’s development through mentoring juniors, building internal networks, and engaging in BD activities as the firm continues to grow across its five strategic sectors: private capital, decarbonisation, life sciences, tech, and transport/trade.

What You'll Bring

  • Qualified solicitor with strong experience in private equity and M&A transactions
  • Trained and practised at a leading City or international firm
  • Skilled in deal management, drafting, and advising on full lifecycle of PE investments
  • Comfortable managing multi-jurisdictional transactions and liaising with local counsel
  • Clear communicator with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
  • A team player who thrives in a high-performance, collaborative setting

What’s On Offer

  • A genuinely people-first culture that prioritises individuality, collaboration, and fairness
  • Competitive salary and bonus package
  • Hybrid working (office/remote blend), plus flexible working options
  • Family-friendly policies, health and wellbeing support, and volunteering leave
  • Access to firm-wide development programmes, BD training, and international secondments
  • Long-term career opportunity at a firm that’s investing in private equity and private capital as a strategic growth area

About the Firm

This is a firm known for its deep expertise across key sectors and its international reach – with offices across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Independent in spirit and clear on its strategy to 2026, it combines high-quality legal work with a clear and transparent career framework, a supportive culture, and a progressive approach to diversity and inclusion.
