Job Description:

Junior Associate – Private Equity

Industry: Private Equity / Investment Management

Compensation: Competitive, with performance-linked upside

Step Into a High-Impact Investment Role with Real Responsibility from Day One

A leading mid-market private equity firm is looking for a Junior Associate to join its growing London-based investment team. Focused on defensive growth sectors such as healthcare, consumer goods, and support services, the firm is known for its hands-on approach, operational focus, and track record of value creation across Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, analytically strong candidate to play a core role across the full deal lifecycle — from sourcing and execution to portfolio strategy and exit planning. You'll work alongside experienced investors on complex transactions, including carve-outs, platform builds, and transformational growth initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Support deal teams through origination, execution, and portfolio management
  • Build sophisticated financial models (including LBOs) and conduct valuation analyses
  • Drive industry and company research to support investment theses
  • Assist in preparing investment committee papers and strategic board materials
  • Participate in commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
  • Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and support value creation efforts
  • Liaise with advisers and contribute to cross-functional deal workstreams

Who You Are

  • 2–4 years’ experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, transaction services, or private equity
  • Excellent academic background with a degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a quantitative field
  • Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills, with a sharp eye for detail
  • Commercially astute, intellectually curious, and comfortable in lean, fast-paced teams
  • Strong written and verbal communicator, confident producing board-level materials
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and genuine interest in long-term value creation

Why Join

  • Work with a high-calibre team on industry-shaping investments
  • Gain early exposure to boardrooms, strategic planning, and operational transformation
  • Take on real responsibility in a flat, collaborative environment
  • Accelerate your learning with direct mentorship from experienced investors
  • Build a long-term career at a firm committed to sustainable growth and talent development
