Job summary

Green Apple Dental in Winscombe is seeking a part-time PRIVATE Dentist for 2 days per week to cover maternity leave. The practice is modern, predominantly private and independently owned with a mature patient list.

You will take over a largely private/Denplan list with a small NHS component, delivering approximately 500 UDAs per year pro-rata at £14 per UDA, with a 50% Private work/lab fee split. A supportive team and on-site parking are provided.

Qualifications

• GDC certificate and valid registration in good standing.
• Degree certificate appropriate for dental practice in the UK.
• CPR/AED/Medical Emergencies certification up to date.
• Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 12-36 months.

Responsibilities

• Take over a mature private/Denplan patient list and some NHS patients.
• Deliver approximately 500 UDAs per year pro-rata at £14 per UDA.
• Work two days per week (Thursday and Friday) for maternity cover.
• Collaborate with nurses, hygienists/therapists, receptionists and decontamination lead.

Description

Part-time PRIVATE Dentist required for 2 days per week Maternity Leave in a BEAUTIFUL, MODERN, predominantly private & independently owned practice near Winscombe, Somerset.

• Salary approx. £4,000 - £5,000/ month (depending on individual performance)
• 2 days/week - Thursday and Friday for 7/8 months
• The right candidate would take over a mature list of predominantly Private and Denplan patients and a smaller list of NHS patients.
• To deliver a small proportion of 500 UDAs per year (pro-rata) @ £14.00 per UDA
• Established and maintained list of regular patients and ever increasing number of new private patients.
• 50% split on Private work and lab fees
• Our mixed practice has been established for over 20 years and has a mature list of patients as well as a waiting list for private and payment plan patients.
• Support from an allocated nurse, 4 healthy-booked Hygienist/Therapists and 3 Receptionists and a Decontamination Lead.
• 5 Surgeries -Fully computerised; Digital Radiography; Rotary Endo; Modern Dental Chairs with LED operating lights; High-end Restorative Materials; Decontamination Room; and more.
• Since early 2024 we have operated a successful conversion from NHS to Private/Denplan and we only hold a very small list of NHS patients. We currently have the contribution of 4 fully booked dentists.
