Job summary

BT Group in Ipswich is recruiting an Infrastructure Engineering Professional to lead the design, build and evolution of a next-generation private cloud based on VMware Cloud Foundation, enabling secure, high-performance workloads for internal teams and external customers. This role requires DV security clearance, on-site presence in Ipswich, and collaboration across security-focused teams.

You’ll drive automation with Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell while strengthening resilience and security.

Qualifications

Experience delivering scalable infrastructure platforms in enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of VMware-based virtualization, compute, storage and networking.
Automation-first mindset with hands-on IaC experience.

Responsibilities

Architect and deliver next-generation private cloud platforms using VMware Cloud Foundation.
Drive automation with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell).
Solve complex platform challenges across compute, storage and networking.
Collaborate with engineers, architects and operations to deliver end-to-end services.
Enhance platform security, resilience and performance at scale.
