Private Clients Tax Trusts Assistant Manager, Salisbury

We are seeking a talented newly qualified team member to join our Private Tax team in Salisbury, responsible for delivering annual tax compliance and planning work for a diverse portfolio of Trust clients.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be part of the delivery team handling client compliance, planning work, routine checks, and practice development. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified tax professional to advance their career in a supportive and growing team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing high-quality service to a Trust client portfolio
  • Managing all aspects of portfolio administration, including compliance, accounts, tax returns, and computations
  • Identifying planning opportunities
  • Preparing client reports
  • Responding to client inquiries regarding trust tax matters
Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence with clients and HMRC
  • Good interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to client needs promptly
  • Experience supervising junior staff and supporting senior management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACA/CTA/STEP or equivalent qualification

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience in a professional services firm
  • Knowledge of personal tax compliance and some exposure to planning/advisory work
  • Excellent communication skills
