Job Description:

This role offers an opportunity to join one of the largest accountancy practices in the area, working within a friendly team that values collaboration. The office is centrally located in Salisbury, just a 13-minute walk from the train station, in a charming market town.

The team manages a diverse portfolio, including complex issues, with a specialization in Landed Estates and rural businesses, serving a number of titled families.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, including HNWIs, Landed Estates, agricultural clients, entrepreneurs, Partnerships, and Trusts.
  • Assist Partners and Directors with, and lead on when appropriate, tax planning initiatives such as succession planning via trusts and corporate structures, and address capital gains and inheritance tax issues.
  • Coordinate with other service lines to deliver comprehensive client solutions, e.g., Accounts & Corporate Tax.
  • Oversee compliance and advisory tasks performed by junior staff.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and support senior team members in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Develop junior team members through feedback and technical/personal development support.
Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in a professional services firm with knowledge of private client tax issues.
  • Proven technical expertise and ability to communicate complex messages effectively.
  • Experience in tax planning, advisory projects, and managing compliance complexities.
  • People management and organizational skills.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser (ACA / CTA).
