Job Description
Would you like to be part of a truly collaborative team within PCTS and across the wider team in Tunbridge Wells? Enjoy working in a friendly local office with the support of colleagues across the wider S&W business?

As an S&W Private Client Tax Manager, you will work with Assistant Managers, Associate Directors, and Directors across their portfolios, benefiting from a diverse range of colleagues to learn from.

Your client portfolios will include private clients with both established and growing wealth, with a focus on private equity executives and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver work to clients within agreed timelines and budgets.
  2. Manage client portfolios and review the work of junior team members.
  3. Liaise with other service lines, such as Accounts & Corporate Tax, to deliver comprehensive services.
  4. Monitor WIP and draft fee notes.
  5. Maintain strong client relationships and support senior team members in identifying new opportunities.
  6. Develop junior team members through feedback and technical guidance.

Qualifications

Essential requirements and qualifications:
  • Significant experience in a professional services firm, with strong knowledge of private client tax issues, including complex capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters.
  • Proven technical knowledge with the ability to communicate complex messages clearly to clients.
  • Ability to consider clients’ overall landscape beyond technical issues.
  • Experience in delivering tax planning, advisory projects, and managing complex compliance issues.
  • People management and organizational skills.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser - ACA / CTA.
