Job Description

As an Associate Director, you will have overall responsibility for a group of clients, with excellent technical expertise in your field. You will lead and manage client relationships, aiming to develop new business from your current client base and beyond, as well as contributing to staff management.

Due to recent growth, we are seeking candidates based in Manchester, Leeds, or Harrogate, with a requirement to be in the office three times a week for collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent client service at all times, ensuring the customer experience is a priority and services align with the group’s Conduct Risk framework.
  • Strive to achieve the Exceptional Advisor competencies and manage client relationships.
  • Contribute to business strategy to ensure client-first decisions that are commercially viable.
  • Manage marketing and business development activities within your expertise area, as agreed with your Head of Department.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures to mitigate risk exposure.
  • Hold regular financial performance reviews with direct reports regarding your client portfolio.
  • Maintain compliance with Delegated Authority Limits and manage WIP and debtors.
  • Oversee daily management of direct reports and conduct annual development reviews.
  • Mentor and develop talent in line with the company’s talent programme.
Qualifications

To succeed, you should have:

  • Significant private client tax experience within a professional practice.
  • Knowledge of private client tax and related advice.
  • Experience in delivering tax planning and advisory projects.
  • Ability to manage and develop client relationships.
  • Proven experience in developing new business and maintaining profitable long-term relationships.
  • Team and project management skills.
Professional Qualifications and Education
  • Qualified Tax Advisor and/or Chartered Accountant.
