The Role

The KPMG Private Client tax team is a fast-growing and integral part of the wider KPMG tax practice. To support further growth, we are looking to appoint a Senior Manager in Nottingham.

We seek candidates with a proven track record in private client tax who are looking for a dynamic and supportive environment. You will lead the delivery of high-quality outputs to clients and participate in winning new clients by introducing innovative offerings. Your client portfolio would include high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, shareholders, and international clients.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and identify new business opportunities.
2. Build and expand your network to generate new prospects, focusing on your assigned clients and targets.
3. Assist in managing the local team, coaching, and developing team members.
4. Collaborate with Corporate Finance colleagues to deliver tax advice during transactions.
5. Assess clients' personal tax situations and develop innovative solutions.
6. Manage complex tax advice projects and oversee their implementation.
7. Manage project finances, including WIP and billing controls.

The Individual

Qualifications and Skills

• ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent with strong personal tax knowledge/experience.

Experience and Background

• Expertise in private client advisory matters, including shareholder tax planning, transaction advice, key tax reliefs, and international tax planning.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage confidently with business owners.
• Proven ability to build long-term relationships with senior executives and shareholders, generating advisory opportunities.
• Passion for delivering exceptional client service and maintaining strong relationships.
• High motivation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
• Strong team ethic and resource growth capability.
• Self-starter with market development skills.
