Job summary

Insite Public Practice Recruitment Limited is seeking a Private Client Tax Senior in Manchester to manage a portfolio of private clients and provide advisory support on Income Tax, CGT, and IHT. You will work with HNW individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners, developing broader advisory exposure beyond routine compliance.

You could be an experienced Private Client Tax Senior or a strong Semi-Senior ready to progress with a view to building client relationships and developing junior staff.

Qualifications

• Private client tax experience in UK accountancy practice.
• Strong income tax and CGT knowledge.
• Interest in IHT and advisory work.

Responsibilities

We're working with an established Manchester practice looking for someone who wants to build their career around people, advice and interesting tax work.

You'll work with HNW individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners and have the opportunity to develop beyond traditional personal tax compliance.

What will you get involved in?

Your experience could include:

• Managing your own portfolio of private clients.
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns.
• Advising on Income Tax and CGT.
• Developing your IHT knowledge.
• Supporting trusts and estate planning.
• Working with entrepreneurs and business owners.
• Supporting business sales and disposals.
• Assisting with succession and family wealth planning.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Working directly with clients and their professional advisers.
• Supporting Managers and Directors on complex advisory work.
• Developing junior members of the team.

Who are we looking for?

You could be an experienced Private Client Tax Senior or a strong Semi-Senior ready to progress.

You'll ideally have:

• Private client tax experience within UK accountancy practice.
• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification/part-qualification.
• Personal tax compliance experience.
• Good Income Tax and CGT knowledge.
• An interest in IHT and advisory work.
• Strong communication skills.
• Confidence dealing with clients.
• A desire to develop commercially.
• Ambition to progress.
