Job summary

Crowe Watson Recruitment is seeking a Private Client Tax Semi Senior for our Colchester office. The role focuses on assisting with self assessment tax returns for a varied private client portfolio.

You will develop your knowledge across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax under the guidance of an experienced team, with opportunities to learn and progress, and flexible working where possible.

Qualifications

• ATT qualified or part qualified
• 2+ years in a UK Practice
• Experience in private client tax in practice
• Knowledge of UK personal tax and self assessment

Responsibilities

• Assist with self assessment tax returns
• Develop knowledge across income tax, CGT and IHT
• Communicate with clients to gather data and answer queries
• Reconcile client records and working papers
• Support senior team on complex tasks

Private Client Tax Semi Senior

£26,000 to £36,000 per annum (DOE) Permanent, full time

Colchester

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Colchester is looking for an ATT qualified or part qualified Private Client Tax Semi Senior to support the preparation of self assessment tax returns across a varied private client portfolio.

You'll develop your technical knowledge across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax under the guidance of an experienced team. Colchester has a well established and diverse business community, and the firm's private client base reflects that.

What’s the day to day of the role:

• Assisting with self assessment tax returns for a varied portfolio of private clients
• Building technical knowledge across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Communicating with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Reconciling client records and working papers to a high standard of accuracy
• Supporting senior members of the team on more complex assignments

Required skills and qualifications:

• ATT qualified or part qualified
• At least two years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• Solid practical experience of private client tax work gained in a practice setting
• Good working knowledge of UK personal tax and self assessment processes
• Strong attention to detail, well organised, with a positive and team oriented attitude
